Overview
My first ever UI/UX design project!
When I first heard about UI/UX design, I was very fascinated and became eager to learn more — and so, I joined a mentorship program within a business tech campus organization at UC Irvine.
My mentor proposed redesigning the organization's website, and this was a brilliant opportunity to help me gain hands-on experience and give back to the organization. We believed there was room for improvement to boost the organization's credibility and recognition and garner interest from undergraduate students. And with that, we began our research to vouch for the redesign of the website.

A Special Shoutout
My mentor, Kaeley, has been a big influence in my design journey. She taught me plenty — from drafting a PRD to creating a pitch deck to evaluating designs with the 10 usability heuristics in mind to equipping me with great resources and industry tools.
As my interest developed into a growing passion in this career path, Kaeley was always an inspiration to me. I learn a lot from the way she tackles new problems, how she delivers feedback, what fuels her passion for design, and her work ethic.
I absolutely cherish our conversations around design: sharing our favorite digital apps and design books, bouncing off visual design ideas on Figma, typography talk, our thoughts around great UIs that we encounter — and frustrating ones too!
